The Man Hunters

Six girls. Two men One blackface in full stage 24 min. Songs and comedy. Dancing by the blackface. Pretty changes of custumme. Went good.

Harry & Eva Puck

In a very attractive singing specialty with a little light comedy that went over very well indeed. They deserve credit for a very elaborate setting and a new idea in boy and girl acts. 15 minutes opens and closes in two. (It would be safer to rank this as a Full Stage act on account of the various drops and hangings.)

Melville Ellis and Irene Bordoni

25 minutes f.s. Special cyclorama. Their stage setting is beautiful, after a Maxfield Parrish painting, and Miss Bordoni wore gowns. She sang three songs, interspersed with piano solos by Ellis. Went very big indeed. Ellis is doing a curtain speech that is rather well turned, and has some clever quips that brought laughs.

Billie Kelgard

The Upright Comedian” – Singing and talking comedian – principally talking – a good line of talk which went ever good – uses pianoat [sic] close of act in talking songs. 10 min in one; went good.

Bert Hanlon

18 min. This fellow was a great big applause hit with a couple of good songs and comedy chatter. He has a line of talk that is different than anything we have had and he gets every bit there is out of it. The audience laughed heartily from start to finish and he was one of the biggest applause hits on the bill.

Juliet Dika

“Distinguished Franco-American Singing Comedienne” in song characterizations – sang in French and English – made a very neat appearance; three changes in costume. 17 min. in one; went good.

Tom Grimes and Dunbar Sisters

Singing, dancing, comedy. Man does a monologue that goes good, sisters well dressed, several changes. 17 min C.D.F. went off with a very good hand.

Bobby Heath & Songbirds

19 min. This Philadelphia songwriter has six girls in the new act he is offering. The act consists of several songs and two comedy bits that were good for a fair amount of laughs. The act is nicely dressed and with a few more popular songs would be improved. The comedy is its weakest point and not well handled. In this city where Heath is very popular, the act got over in fairly good shape, but its worth for outside booking is a question.

Cecil Cunningham

20 minutes in one. Plush drapery. Miss Cunningham touched the high-water mark of the show, as far as “class” was concerned. Sang four original songs by Jean C. Havez, all good, and registered one of the biggest applause hits of the show. Introduces considerable comedy, while her personality appeals to the audience.

Walter Shannon, Marie Annie and Co.

In “The Garden of Love.” 26 minutes f.s. Special drop in one and cyclorama in f.s. Very short opening in one. This is a good act. Four men and one woman in an Egyptian operetta with scenes laid at the Pyramids. The singing is excellent, a bit of comedy is introduced, and the production a rather spectacular affair. Held the interest and closed well.
