This act I brought back for this week for a reason engagement, they having played here last Thanksgiving week, when they were a tremendous hit. The advance applause which greeted them on their entrance showed that no mistake was made in bringing them back. They duplicated their success of the earlier engagement. 21 Min. in One.
Comedienne, singing a number of songs with changes of costumes. Miss Tracey objected to her place in the bill, but I prevailed upon her to play, but she wants it made generally known that will not again appear as early as No. 2 in any bill. She has a pleasing little act. Could have gone a little further down the bill with safety but there is nothing about it that is particularly striking or any reason to worry if she doesn’t play. 15 Min. in One.
At the finish of this number one member -steps on the dame’s train and his trousers undergarment is revealed in the back of the skirt This and the singing was good for a howl. They make a comedy exit after one takes a fall, tripping over his skirts and being upset by his awkward partner. The crossfire is all funny and both get the character across the footlights with a natural-ness that appeals. This act should open up a new field for the former exponents of the slurring ess’s and should develop into one of vaudeville’s best comedy turns.
In a Dutch sketch entitled “In Old Eden.” 22 minutes, full stage, own act. This is the same old act. Chip and Marble are both exceedingly clever, and the act went big. One of the hits of the show.
20 min. With a series of five songs she did exceedingly well in a difficult spot. Her songs are of the comedy variety and she changes costumes for each number. She is assisted by William Casey, Jr. at the piano and Bobby Heather who sings two songs with her. Act went big.
13 min 1. Male quartette, two men playing straight and two comedians. The singing in very ordinary, and while the comedian got quite a few laughs, they would have pleased much better if they cleaned up a little bit in costume. Went well.
The singing comedienne, assisted by an old man who sits in the box, with whom Miss Rockwell flirts with from the stage. After the singing the old gent gives a short recitation; 12 min. in one; this act was a scream – went over very big.
20 min. f.s. Spl. Set. Six men, 1 woman. This is the conventional minstrel “First Part” with singing, jokes, dancing; lady acting as Interlocutor. The act makes a very good flash and started our show off in good shape.
10 people men and women in full stage. Singing comedy talk. Immatations [sic] of big stage performers. 25 min. Fall offering looks and acts like a new act just breaking in. Went fair.
Work in special set. A very foolish offering with no scense [sic] at all with a little singing and some old gags which make this act a very poor act to close or feature. A very poor opening and a very poor finish. Went poor.
