Ruby Raymond & Co.

“Street Urchins at the Amateur Contest.” A well known act that went over in this spot today in excellent shape and closed to strong applause. Street in 1. Time 12 min.

George Aucher and Co.

“Jack, The Giant Killer.” Carry a special set representing the interior of a cave. Quite a little comedy and will create considerable interest. Five people two of whom are Lilliputians, the boy being especially good.

Conroy & Lemaire

Comedy sketch: “King for a Night.” 24 minutes. Opens in 1 close full stage. This act scored a big laughing hit.

Mr. & Mrs. Gardner Crane & Co.

“Pixley’s Prodigal Parents.” As good a farce comedy as there is in vaudeville and a big laughing hit with today’s audience. Special set in 3. Time 27 min.

Bertram Marburgh & Co

“The Old Baron.” A comedy sketch by Chas. T. Dazey, employing three people. Story is rather entertaining but needs quickening up before it will do for the big houses. The comedy is quiet but gets over in good shape and the work of Marburgh as the old German is artistic. Act took three calls at finish today. Plain chamber in 3. Time 22 min.

Hayward & Hayward

In a sketch somewhat resembling Norton & Nicholson’s “Ella’ All Right,” altho not nearly as good. It is funny in spots, but rather technical to the average auditor, dealing with expressions only show people understand. 16 Min. F.S.

McConnell and Simpson

“A Stormy Hour.” Both are clever people and furnish lots of fun and laughter but they come mighty near verging on the burlesque, Miss McConnell at times overacting in a way. Full stage.

Charles & Frannie Van and Co.

In “A Case of Emergency.” this well known act did only fair and wasn’t nearly as big a hit as last time we played it. The work of the individuals seemed to be all right, but for some reason or other act failed to score heavily and finished only fairly strong. 15 minutes, street in 1.

Carpenter, Grady & Co.

In “The Toll Bridge.” Rural comedy playlet presented by a very meritorious cast. The character old man is an excellent piece of work. The woman was strong with both the comedy and pathos. The act gave very good satisfaction and finished strong. Special set in 4, 18 minutes.
