Mona Ryan & Co.

2 men, 1 woman. Time 19. Presenting a sketch called “Handcuffed.” Many bright lines. Situations novel.

Gerald Griffin and Co.

In a sketch “Other People’s Money.” One of the best comedy sketches we have had, gets the audience from the start. Went very big. 34 min. full stage.

J. Francis Dooley

Assisted by Corinne Sayles in “Pavement Patter.” 21 min. in 1. Dooley was certainly a riot of fun this afternoon. He read the baseball scores and plays between the acts and had the audience right with him so that when he got down to his regular act, he was in fine trim for making a hit. He is certainly a comedian of the first rank, and the crowd was not willing to let him go. A crackerjack feature for this—a hard spot on the bill.

Valerie Bergere’s Players

A good comedy sketch that held down this spot fairly well. In an earlier position it would have been a much bigger hit no doubt. 14 min. F.S.

Geo. P Moore & Florence Elliot

Comedy sketch entitled A MATRIMONIAL ENTANGLEMENT. A good comedy sketch well played. Went strong. 15 minutes, interior.

Edward Abeles & Co.

In “He Tried to be Nice.” This was the first performance of the sketch and both Abeles and his wife were rather nervous. The story is interesting and deals with a man who reads an article in the morning paper on “how to be happy though married” and determines to put some of the suggestions into practice. He sends for flowers, silk stockings and candy for his wife and is so terrible polite at breakfast that she suspects that he has committed an offence of some sort and is taking this method of squaring himself. In its present form the act is altogether too long and should be cut way down. When this is done Abeles will have a comedy sketch that should be a feature on an bill. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 28 min.
