19 min F.S. A good comedy sketch, got lots of laughs and closed to a nice hand.
Two woman, one man, in “The Sleep Walker.” Comedy sketch a little out of the ordinary in theme and one that won a number of laughs. Fared quite well all the way through and finished fairly strong. 16 minutes, C.D.F.
34 minutes full stage. The best laughing sketch of the season. A hit.
C.D.F. 2 men, 2 women. Time 22. “The Prima Donna’s Honeymoon.” One of the best comedy sketches seen here in a long time. It deals with the trials of a man who marries an operatic state, and exceedingly funny and novel situations develop. Not a slow second. A genuine success deserving highest praise.
“A Carriage Ride and its Mishaps.” Made an ideal closing act for one of the best shows of the season. Act too familiar to need description. Sufficient to say that it pleased immensely and held the audience up to the finish. Own set in 4. Time 11 min.
“The Wrong Hero.” A new addition to the act in “one” that should have no trouble in getting plenty of work. Mack is working in white face and has the unctuous style that made him so popular as the blackface man with Quinlan & Mack and earlier as Monroe & Mack. The act is full of bright comedy and the musical numbers were well received. After the big hit scored by Weston & Lynch I had some doubts about this team being able to hold them. I was agreeably disappointed for they not only kept the show still moving at its rapid gait but had to respond to half a dozen bows at the finish. Own drop in 1. Time 24 min.
In a Character Comedy Skit. Man and woman; singing and talking — Irish and Scotch characters. 14 min in one; went good.
30 min. F.S. An old sketch, got quite a few laughs and closed to a fair hand.
“The Diamond Hunters” A comedy sketch that did not register very well this afternoon. Special exterior scenery in 3. 12 min.
“Samson & Delilah” A good bright comedy sketch. Special scenery (exterior) full stage. 16 min.
