Man and woman eccentric comedy sketch. Couple of songs good comedy. Special set scenery. Went well. 18 minutes.
In the novel sketch “Election Night” a sketch somewhat out of the ordinary, characters very good. Went big. 22 min. full stage.
“The Try-Out Act.” Another of these property men affairs with which vaudevilles has been surfeited the past few years. Watched the act intently today but don’t know yet what it is all about, don’t think the audience did either. There were a few laughs but I doubt if the act ever lands a knockout blow anywhere. Might go on the small time. Divided stage in 3. Time 20 min. close in 1, 4 min.
Man and woman, comedy sketch Cowboy and Lady, interior set, man disguises himself as Cowboy and makes a lot of noise with two revolvers, woman nicely dressed, 22 minutes, got a good hand at finish.
Comedy sketch. “A Business Proposal.” 18 min. Full stage. Three people; two men, and one woman. Quick action, good strong comedy lines and situations and one of the best little farces of season. Closed very strong.
In a comedy sketch entitled, “Little Kick.” 24 min. F.S. A dandy little act, in which the comedy work of Master Gabriel makes a decided hit. We were afraid of this act, as it followed “Little Lord Robert” of last week’s show, but Master Gabriel’s act and its reception more than met expectations. (Pittsburgh)
28 min in 1 ½. This is one of the most original and interesting Irish sketches we have ever played. Its only drawback is that it was a little too long during the first half and from five to ten minutes will be cut out of the twenty-eight. It is really a gem of Irish humor and would make a hit anywhere. With the help of two “plants” in the audience, the “hat” finish got the big laugh. Held this hard spot in good shape.
Man and woman; a little comedy skit with singing and dancing. There are some quite funny lines in the playlet but the people are hardly equal to them; they are not bad; they hold down the spot fairly well; in the hands of more capable people the sketch would be a rattler. 16 min. Open F.S. Very short close in one.
Man and woman, comedy sketch with little dramatic action, well known in Pawtucket and got a good reception, sketch called Nobody’s kid, woman does the comedy, good clean sketch 20 minutes full stage, went very good.
In “A Detective Detected.” 13 minutes f.s. Special divided set. A comedy sketch without much rhyme or reason, built around a trap door in the wall, but it had the audience laughing heartily, and closed well.
