Cox Family

6 people, man four women and a boy, comedy sketch The Italian Music Master. Singing dancing and piano playing, comedy work is fair singing good, boy was a hit, 20 minutes interior, went very good.

Mr & Mrs Harry Thorne & Co

Comedy Sketch, AN UPTOWN FLAT, two men and 2 women, it’s the old afterpiece “Mr & Mrs Barnaby Biggs”, well played and plenty of action, went big. 20 minutes, interior.

Milton Pollock & Co.

Three men and one woman in a George Ade sketch, “Speaking to Father.” A capital comedy playlet, very capably presented. Went big throughout and finished strong. Dark Fancy in 3. 20 minutes. (Springfield, Mass)

Geo. Rolland & Co.

In “Fixing the Furnace.” Comedy sketch that approach very closely to vulgarity. Of course some people laugh at this smut. After Sunday matinee, the sketch was disinfected, and made presentable to decent people. It is a good laughing finish. OPEN NEXT WEEK.

Mein Liebchen

25 minutes, library interior. 3 men and 2 women. A purely conversational sketch which lacks the heart interest and punch. There’s gossip and an innocent little girl, a man whom the gossip says is bad, being the same men the good little girl loves. Then there’s the father and uncle of the good little girl who are pinochle friends, which fact is brought to light through a game of pinochle in view of the audience. However, the lines are not dazzling, the comedy in rather slow, and the sketch in its entirety is not a big feature. (Toledo)

Franklyn Ardell & Co.

Men and woman in a comedy sketch entitled “The Suffragette.” The act runs 14 minutes. C.D.F. office set and is one of the best comedy acts we have ever had in the Hippodrome. It’s new to Cleveland and the audience just simply ate it up. (Dayton)

Wilfred Clarke & Co.

Comedy sketch entitled, “What Will Happen Next?” 15 min. F.S., own set. Same old sketch he has been presenting here for years, but a big laughing hit. Went big. INDIANAPOLIS.

James Tooney & Antoinette Norman

Man and woman, comedy skit “Just Nonsense.” 13 minutes in one. This act had to open the show and as a great many people were walking in on them it would not be fair to criticise them, for it is not an act that should ever be placed in the opening position. I think it best to let Philadelphia give their version of the act next week. After the matinee performance the tem came out to me in front and wanted to close. I realized this position was impossible for them but told them to go back and behave themselves, so they are finishing out the week. (Philadelphia)

Wilfred Clarke & Co.

In a sketch new to this theatre called “The Dear Departed” a lively act of the kind offered by Mr. Clarke. Got plenty of laughs and is satisfactory in a general way, though hardly a headliner. 15 Min. F.S.

Edward Abeles & Charlotte Landersk

In comdey [sic] “He Tried To Be Nice”. This is a very excellent legitimate number presented by an unusually capable pair. There were laughs throughout, the closest attention was given and the finish was very strong. Fancy in three. 23 minutes.
