Cressy & Dayne

25 min. In “One Night Only.” This is Mr. Cressy’s newest comedy sketch and while hardly up to some of his former sketches, got a fair amount of laughs through the comedy talk and the description of an automobile which is used as a “prop.” The playlet has sort of a sentimental finish, like all Cressy sketches, but closed with a laugh. Won a fair amount of applause.

Alan Brooks & Co.

25 min. In “Straightened Out.” This is an original comedy with the author in the principal role supported by a company of four. The story is supplied by the appearance of an intoxicated man at a mountain health resort and the comedy is supplied by his efforts to climb a spiral staircase which gives him a big finish and brought the sketch to a close with a liberal hand of applause.

Chas. E. Evans & Helena Phillips

In a very good comedy sketch called “A Forgotten Combination.” I was most agreeably surprised with this act. I expected something fairly good, and got an act that was full of laughs from start to finish. This act should by all means, be played anywhere that they have not played, and at the price and with Evan’s reputation, it is a bargain. 27 minutes. Full stage.

Charles Grapewin and Anna Chance

In “Poughkeepsie.” 20 minutes f.s. C.D.F. It is several years since this team have been seen in Boston. They put the sketch over is good shape, with laughs all through and a good finish.

Thomas Hoier & Co.

In a sketch called “The Iceman.” It is said that this is taken from Danish. I think if it was played in Danish still it would be just as effective, as the lines mean very little to the act. It is rather a slap-sick sort of a thing and manages to make people laugh to some extent. All right to play once in an earl spot. 16 Min. F.S.

Melville & Higgins

In a sketch entitled “Just Married”. 17 minutes in One. Advance hand. This team has a good deal of new stuff and some old. A tremendous laughing hit. Big favorite here.

Linton & Lawrence

All week. Comedy sketch The Piano Store, singing and dancing 15 minutes. Going big same as first three days.

Gibson & Ranney

Man and woman, comedy sketch “The Cowboy Courtship” no singing, lot of rough work, went very good with the audience, don’t think much of it myself. 15 minutes interior.

“Everywife”

25 minutes, opening three minute in One; plush curtains, then alternatively to full stage and in one the four scenes. This probably the biggest and best production in all respects ever seen in this house. Today (Monday) it is the talk of the town. Scenery fine, costumes beautiful, and acting superb. No low comedy—no burlesque, and everything in a curious vein. Made big impression on both Sunday audiences.

Porter J. White & Co.

Two men and one woman, sketch “The Visitor”. Gained closest attention making point after point and all in all being a legitimate offering well worth while. Very strong finish. Library in three. 23 min.
