Edmund Hayes & Co

20 min full stage, parlor scene. Two men and a woman. This act kept the audience laughing from rise to fall of the curtain. Hayes is still presenting “The Piano Mover” and is assisted by Robert Archer a very capable comedian. He is well known here and received an ovation at the time of his appearance.

Lancton, Lucifer & Co.

In a comedy skit entitled, “Heaps of Hilarity”. 21 min, full stage, parlor act, close in 1. This was apparently the lightest act on our program. Some dancing was well received, but the comedy found little favor with the audience.

Florence Modena & Chas Gardner

In “A Lesson In Reform”. This number pleased throughout, gaining many laughs and holding interest to the end, finishing moderately strong. C.D.F. in three, 14 minutes.

Rosalind Coghlan and Co.

Miss Coghlan is the daughter of Rose and in this little play, “The Obstinate Miss Granger”, she is assisted by Mr. Pitman and Mr. Ames. All competent people, some clever work, good lines and situations and while not a star feature, it is an act that will fit nicely in any bill. F.S.

Nyles McCarthy & Co.

Comedy sketch. Entitled “A Yellow Streak.” This is a very long drawn-out act with the laughs few and far between. For the rest of the week Mr. McCarthy will open the show.

Tom Barry & Co.

Comedy sketch, entitled “Nick Carter.” Second appearance here of this act and it went very well.

McConnell & Simpson

In their new sketch, “The Right Girl.” A big laughing hit. 26 Min. F.S.

Estelle Wordette & Co.

Man and woman comedy sketch “A Honeymoon In The Catskills” no merit to the act, got a few laughs with a lot of horse play 17 minutes full stage interior, just got a little applause.

Kelly & Adams

Man and woman, singing, talking and dancing, old time comedy sketch team, woman singing made a big hit, act made good from start to finish. 15 minutes in 2 C.D.F.

Florence Nash & Joseph Jefferson

With Minette Barrett in a problem play of the future, entitled “In 1999”. Here is a play in which the author reverses the lines. The wife, the club-woman, the husband, the housekeeper. The girl in love with the husband; hence the comedy. Very novel. Creating more talk than any other play ever presented here, with plenty of newspaper advertising. Retained the second week. Full stage, 18 minutes.
