The Chalfonte Sisters
Ford Sisters
(23 mins.) The best act these girls have given us and a big applause hit. The music of their band with specialities and the vocal numbers introduced between dances built the act up into a real production and the fast stepping finish by the girls, in attractive costumes, rounded out a really fine production and a deserved hit.
Pollard Sisters
A good small time singing and talking act. Went good. 10 min in 1.
Watson Sisters
There is no denying that these girls make them laugh, but they don’t make them laugh to the extent of the wages they get. I can’t see them for more than half the salary they are getting. Both D.D.H? and Jim Mc.Williams meant more on the bill than they did. They may be headliners in some places, out Providence would surely not be one of them. It is a good act and it might be H.R.R at the outside. 22 min. in one.
The Amoros Sisters
Lively act of singing, dancing and acrobatics, which made quite a hit. 14 min. full stage, short opening in one.
Mellette Sisters
This act was a distinct disappointment. It was booked for the closing spot which it could by no means hold, necessitated being moved up here. The girls have a new pianist which hurt them some no doubt, but aside from that I see nothing but a couple of good looking girls who dress well and dance like amateurs. 12 min. full stage.
Mellette Sisters
(15 mins.) This act makes a very good flash, the girls doing a variety of dances in attractive costume. Lew Pollack, at the piano, also scored and the act held down this spot in good shape.
Ford Sisters
(22 mins.) Still a very flashy act and makes a big show with their own orchestra. Girls make several changes of costume and their dancing has plenty of variety. Were a big hit, closing strong.
Claflin Sisters
3 shows, 12 min. in 1 – Opening with a song and mandolin accompaniment, one costumed in red and the other in black, with short skirts. They sing and play fairly well. One of them tells some humorous stories, and the finish is a coon song, with a bit of dancing. It is a fair 3-a-day turn.
