This act was a distinct surprise, although I had been told it was good, I had no idea it would pan out quite as strongly as it did. One of the girls is an exceptionally good comedienne. The audience was most insistent with encores and I believe they could be there yet. 14 min in one.
Well dressed Sister act, singing and some comedy. Singing great comedy bad, went very good. 15 minutes in one.
Harmonious singing sextette, cannot say too much for this act, made a big hit. They make two changes of costume, selection of songs very good and were one of the hits of the bill. 13 min. in one.
17 minutes in one. I think this is the last time that we want to play this fellow in this act. When he first left burlesque and came along with smart chatter he was an instantaneous hit. The stuff is getting stale now and the fact that he has played the Winter Garden has swelled his head to such an extent that he takes liberties with his audiences that he should not take. The act in its present state is not worth $400.00, nor half that amount. I do not care to play him again until someone takes the conceit out of him – and until he gets a new line of talk. (Chicago)
Very good act of its kind which went well throughout. They lack snap, however, and could out their numbers over more effectively. Finished strong. Special in 4, close in 1, 20 minutes. (Cincinnati)
21 min. F.S. Spec. These girls have a very nice act this time, and with the assistance of a five people orchestra went over nicely.
(6 mins.) Did very well in the opening spot. Their act is better dressed than over and makes a very pretty novelty.
12 min. in 1. Evidently owing to the early spot on the bill these girls went only fair.
6 min. F.S. A quiet closing act, although the girls do very nice work in mid-air. Held the audience fairly well.
Human butterflys. Well known act that made a good closer. 7 min full stage.
