Willa Holt Wakefield

Pianologuiste. This woman is one of New York’s leading drawing-room entertainers and is a valuable attraction for this house. She recites her songs playing her own accompaniment, which appeals to the better classes. She has a pleasing personality with great delivery, and although lame, the applause was purely for her work and not on account on the affliction. Compelled to take several bows. 8 min in two – can work in one – two shows.

Willa Holt Wakefield

Pianologue.  Up to this spot Miss Wakefield was the hit of the show, and received an unusual amount of deserved applause.  She sang or rather talked her three songs with piano accompaniment in a very artistic manner.  In my mind there is no doubt but that she is the best in this line we have ever played.  Received three curtain calls at close.  A very good act.  10 minutes. Interior.

Melville Ellis

Pianologist.  Clever to a superlative degree.  Another hit.  In one.

Agusta Glose

Musical pianologue. Got the audience on the start-off with her piano work. Imitation of the child went very strong with her character impersonation. This woman is greatly overpaid. Think $125.00 is about enough. (Closed in one about 5 minutes) drapery in two. 16 min, 2 shows.

Merri Osbourne

Pianologue. Carries her own pianist. This woman is not young by any means, although she dresses the act very nicely and manages to make a pleasing appearance. Her voice does not amount to much. Her pleasing mannerisms and general tone carry the act. The selections are bright, although several numbers are “passe”, but she manages to secure some little applause after each number. I presume she could hold down the place on the bill if on before 3 and 9 o’clock. 9 min. In two- 2 show.
