European Dynamitic Wonders. 3 people. An electrical act somewhat on the order of the first half of Dr. Hermann’s and much superior to the act offered here this season by Volts. Salambo is a showman and has framed up his act in splendid shape and it held the close attention of the audience. Their concluding feat where they blow up gas from their mouths through a chandelier won a big hand. While not much of an applause getter think this act will create a lot of talk on the outside. Own set in 3. Time 13 min.
Electro-hypnotism. 25 minutes full stage. The scientific part of his act is not as effective as Volta’s, but the comedy is exceptionally amusing. I might say as strong as Pauline’s. His finish is very crude, the idea of having his committee jump and run off the stage is objectionable. I shall try to arrange some differently of rest of week.
On at 2:34, 14 minutes full stage with closing in 1. This is a fairly good novelty number, the light effects being rather attractive and the dancing very good, but somehow to-day it lacked the snap necessary for a big success.
Last week of her engagement; no change in the programme; continues to draw well. Unquestionably Miss Fuller’s Dance of the Archangel is far superior to her other efforts; it is a marvel of grace and beauty and makes a great impression upon her audiences. Full stage; time 15 minutes.
Has proved to be a good drawing card. The electrical effects produced are novel and very beautiful. Mill Fuller’s entertainment is of a class that stands alone and unequalled in its originality. Has a large force of assistants and the paraphernalia used is most complicated. Full stage; time 19 minutes.
26 min. full stage, close in 1. Electric and fire novelty act. Pleases this audience, but the dressing in Mephisto suits makes the act look cheap, and some of the little comedy tricks they introduce give it a museum look.
Exhibition with Gases and Electricity. This act is a very attractive one and novel. While it gets no great amount of applause I am quite sure it makes people talk and will draw money in the House. 20 min. full stage.
2 shows, 21 min., full stage. Interesting trick exhibition of the various uses of which electricity may be applied in stage effects, and a demonstration of wireless telepgraphy. It is not worth big booming, as the majority of people cannot attain to the proper understanding of what they are witnessing.
2 shows. 20 min. Fancy in 2-Man and woman in electrical experiments. We featured the act because it was a novelty. For its foundation it has a wireless telegraphy stunt that appears to be genuine, but is produced by clever deception. Act went only fair this afternoon, but with sufficient advertising could be made a feature, and might make good as such.
Man and woman in an act introducing experiments with electricity. It is about the same sort of act that they did in this country about five years ago, but is valuable because it is a novelty. They introduce several new effects in it and the audience was deeply interested from start to finish. 23 minutes. Full stage
