Scotch comedian. This fellow was certainly a surprise. He made such a big hit the middle of the show that I have moved him down to this spot. Comments were free around us from auditors that they liked him as well as Harry Lauder. 18 Min. in One.
A novelty monologue act with two people working from the audience. Went big. 24 minutes in one.
Character comedienne. 15 minutes in 1. She repeated her former success here, going stronger than before and held the next to closing position to our entire satisfaction. Great value.
14 min. one. A Philadelphia boy who is a favorite here. Big advance hand. A good deal of the same line of chatter he gave here before and plenty of new and good material. Got a good hand many laughs for his tongue-twisting dialect stuff and was the applause hit of the show up to this time. Seems to be Cliff Gordon’s legitimate successor.
Monologist, mimic, etc. He went very well from beginning to end and offered an act that seemed to please them all the way through. The work consisted of songs, monologue and imitations, all of which found favor with the audience. 12 minutes, olio in one.
A very clever monologue man, who held this spot satisfactorily. 16 min. in One.
“The Cheer-Up Comedian.” Grant gave 19 minutes of entertainment that seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by the entire house. He held the audience all the way through without any trouble, gained a lot of laughs and applause and finished strong. 15 minutes, olio in 1.
32 minutes in 1. Wills was a positive riot here this afternoon and although his stuff was very much the same as when he last appeared here.
13 minutes in 1. Birch had not been here for 3 years and he is still doing his melodrama with the hats. This afternoon, although in a very hard spot, he got the audience in great shape with laughs all the way through and his finish was big. Tonight he repeated this experience.
English comedienne. 18 minutes in 1. An utter impossibility.
