(17 mins.) A lot of bright talk presented in real novel fashion, the Lizzie in the act being mythical. It is a monologue of a different kind and scored a big hit.
18 minutes in one. This is Webb’s first appearance here, and it was some time before he managed to “get” the audience, but his finish was good.
A thorough artist from head to foot. The piano playing is the secondary part of his entertainment. What he introduces is effectively done, but as a story teller and monologist he is one of the best we have had for a long time. A genuine hit all the way through. Finished strong. 33 minutes, C.D.F.
In a monologue with his silent and invisible partner, Lizzie. Very good act. 17 min. in one and a half.
(21 mins.) Undoubtedly the most novel monologue act we have ever played and it did splendidly for us in the next to closing spot. It held the audience interested from start to finish and got a lot of laughs. The use of an old couple, introduced as his parents, was something entirely new and the act closed to a big hand.
