Roltare

Magician. 16 min. in 2. Cl. In 1. 3 shows. Has a pleasing personality. His tricks are interesting and skillfully done, and the flag feature received good applause which follows the brilliant display of national colors. The work in 1, with card trick, was rather weak. This is a good act nevertheless for the money. Can stand a better place.

The Tanakas

13 min. full stage, 3 shows. Japanese Top-spinning and Magic. Nicely costumed. Very neat little three-show act. All their tricks were executed in great shape. Held the attention of the audience throughout. Closed strong.

Ten Ji Troupe

Japanese Magicians: – 23 min. F.S. close in 1. 2 shows. Make a fairly good appearance, but not quite up to the standard of the high-class Oriental act, either in dress or skill. The magic which these people do is not new, but all is cleverly done, and they got considerable applause. It is altogether too quiet an act as a closer on the bill. Will be shoved up further tonight.

The Tanakas

Japanese Jugglery and Magic. 14 min. F.S. 3 shows. A Japanese and evidently American woman in Japanese costume. The act is nicely dressed, and the feats which the man does are out of the ordinary. His work with the tops together with the woman’s magic held the attention of the audience very well. A very graceful and picturesque act, and a valuable three-a-day feature.

Tonji Troupe

2 shows, 20 min. full stage. Three Japanese men and one woman, in feats of magic and illusion. They do a great many of the tricks of the Ten Ichi Troupe, and I believe fully as satisfactorily in every way. These people will be shifted with Ethel Clifton for tomorrow

Von Camp

NH 3. 19 mins. full stage. Magician assisted by a lady. This young man has greatly improved; he only does a few tricks and they are very cleverly executed. He closes with the old box illusion, assisted by the woman, which mystifies the audience.

Hermann the Great

For 30 minutes he followed one trick with another, many new, and proved himself to not only be a great magician but is probably the best drawing card we have ever played. Marie Hermann assisted in the illusions. Carries his own handsome setting and many assistants. Full stage.

Jules Larvette

Magician. This fellow is very ordinary. Nothing sensational to the act. Does a big lot of talking but manages to get away with it in a pleasant manner. Act is all right for an opener. 17 min. in one – 2 shows.

Herrmann the Great

Better than ever. He has an elegant set and introduces several new feats in magic. 29 min.

Carl Herbert

Magician. Card and ball manipulating fairly good, balance of his work very ordinary. Good opening act. Fifteen minutes in two, can work in one.
