Elsa Ruegger and Company

16 min. in 1. Miss Reugger is an excellent Cellist, away above any we have had in vaudeville in recent years, and is assisted by a very clever lady Harpist and gentleman Violinist. Went well.

Gallarini Sisters

12 min. Two girls who play several instruments in duets and solos. The variety of their offering won them warm favor and they finished to a very good hand.

Crossman’s Entertainers

Instrumental and Vocal Production – two men and five women Play harp, piano, violin, cornet, flute, banjo and drum; render several selections of classical numbers with telling effect; 18 min. full stage; went over very big.

Elsa Ruegger & Co.

19 min. A very high-class musical offering which was very well received. Miss Ruegger is assisted by Zhay Clark, harpist, and E. Lichenstein, violinist. Their program consists of solos, duets and trios, all classical numbers. The act was an applause hit.

Jerome and Newell

Jerome and Newell, opening in “one” with clarinet and one-string box fiddle, had ‘em from the bell, and when they added a neat dance and then flied to full for rapid and stellar three-bar horizontal flipping and flying, it went to a smash.

George and Ray Perry

George and Ray Perry are ready for the Orpheum junior time with their banjo playing and their clever stage presences. They work very hard. The lady of the act is tall, titian haired and wears her costumes well. The male member should have his clothes pressed.

Mcrlin

Vaudeville’s Most Popular Accordionist” Plays several popular airs on the accordion — nest appearance — 10 min. in one; went good.

Mitchell & Mitch

15 mins. in 1. This is a banjo act presented a little differently from average. Went only fair.

Peppino and Berry

Peppino and Berry, a male combination in regular street attire, offering selection via the accordion and violin route, pleased No. 2. Both open with rag and ballad accordion selections, followed by the younger member scoring with the instrument. No qualification that would qualify the turn better than the small time was in evidence.

The Vandos

[New act] Xylophonists, 8 mins; one. Man and woman dueting and soloing on the xylophone. There are two such instruments the couple, however, using either one for the duets until the final number, when they pair off. The man strips in a Spanish costume for his solo number. The girl makes a change to match, appearing for the closing number, a jazzy melody. It opened the show here well and can fit that spot or No. 2 on the pop bills.
