Stuart (Male Patti)

15 minutes full stage. Voice better than ever. Wears beautiful gowns and made a big hit.

Herbert Clifton.

Special in three, 19 minutes. In burlesque and straight female impersonations. He wears gorgeous gowns. He was a success this afternoon.

Gilbert Saroney

In his old specialty the “Giddy Girl.” The act is not changed any that I can see in all the years that we have been playing it. There is something about the impersonation of an old maiden sort of a girl that always makes the women laugh, and the act can be called good. 10 minutes in one.

Jean & White

14 min, F.S. Spec. Routine of dancers with a surprise finish, as one the boys is made up as a girl. Opened the show well.

Stuart

In 1. Time 17. “The Male Patti”. Stuart has a remarkable voice in imitation of soprano and his offering pleasantly free from any unpleasant suggestion that frequently goes with this sort of thing. He is a great entertainer, has a personality that “gets over”, and has a nicely balanced offering.

Stuart

“The Male Patti”. A slight demonstration of applause upon his entrance. All of his songs gained the closest attention and he was liberally rewarded at the finish of each with abundance of applause. His gowns are very pretty and all in all he makes a striking appearance. As a soprano he is equal to many female vocalists of note and his success was thoroughly satisfactory. Open C.D.F., closes olio in 1, 16 minutes.

Lind

On at 2.04, 9 min, full stage; special set.  While he is an artist, and one of the best female impersonators we have ever played, still I do not think that it would be wise to play him again for two or three seasons.  The novelty of his act has worn off; and the surprise at the finish is anticipated by nine-tenths of the audience.  However, in cities where he has never been seen, he could be made a headliner and would make good.

Harry LeClair

This is the original Harry LeClair, formerly LeClair & Russell. He has a now act now in which of course, he makes a specialty of impersonating the female character, but he has some very fine wardrobes and his ability in this line is too well known to need any comment. He first appears as an actress and sings a song deprecating the large number of amateurs in the business, and the song is interspersed with some very good patter; he then changes and does a crazy imitation of an ambition Ophelia in Hamlet, in which he also does a song, and his third change is as Faust. It is a very clever act and went very big. 22 minutes; full stage. GYH.

Mary Norman

Box set in 3 – 16 minutes – impersonations of society types of girls in Boston, New York, etc. Same act she have five years ago – says she has a new one for presentation in the east.

Julian Eltinge

(17 mins.) Always a big hit in this house and he represented very well. He has one or two new songs and, as usual, wears a wonderful array of gowns. He scored solidly and was called upon for a little speech of thanks.
