Dida

The Creation of Woman from Nothing. This is a facsimile of the act that has been at Hammerstein’s for the past three or four months. The act is a very good one, and is certainly mystifying. Mr. Heineman, the party who owns the act is here, but he has a man that introduces the act who is more suitable for a dime museum than a first class vaudeville house. I insisted on Heineman making the announcements himself, which gave more tone to the act. With the other party doing it, just killed it. Time 8 minutes full stage.

The Zancigs

2 shows, 15 minutes in 1. Man and woman, in an exhibition of mind reading or telepathy, which is the best of the kind we have ever played here. They work fast and the audience never has a chance to be other than interested. Got an enthusiastic round of applause at the close. It makes a great ‘feature’ act.

The Zancigs

In second sight and mind reading. So far, they’ve made good here their work, and I’m under the impression that we’ll do quite a little business here before the week is out. I’ve advertised them a good deal, and that’s the only way to get any money out of the act. Their appearance is a little bit against them, still at the same time they do their work so well that they can be overlooked. They are obliging, nice people to handle, and I believe are well worth the money, as a feature on any bill. The act runs 20 minutes in one. Mr. Zancig works in the audience.

Nate Leipzig

– 2 shows, 15 min. in 1. Manipulator of coins, cards, and small billiard balls. He is as clever as Nelson Downs or Thurston, but lacks the pleasing personality that distinguishes the performers named. Like all acts of this class, Mr. Leipzig’s work “made good”.

T. Nelson Downs

2 shows, 16 min, in 2. First time here in nearly five years if this greatest of all coin manipulators. He did not receive any great amount of applause, but that does not lesson the value of his act, as it is one which will be talked about.

Herbery Brocks

Card conjurer. This man had exceedingly hard place on the bill following the Sylvas who do no talking, and his act opens with no talking and is quiet throughout. He does some clever work with the cards and finished with a truck trick which is indeed puzzling. He has a pleasing appearance and while he aroused no great amount of applause he seemed to interest and please our audience. 20 min, open in one, close full stage, 3 shows.

Leipsic

Slight of hand performer. His manipulations of coins, cards, balls, etc, are as good as any that we ever played and his address and manner are very agreeable. Strong enough to be placed down in the middle of any show. 15 min. in one, 3 shows.
