Joseph Hart’s Bathing Girls

This is one of the best girl acts we have played this season and created more enthusiasm than any ensemble act we have presented. Certainly the act possesses novelty and is by far Hart’s best effort. Full stage, special set. Time 19 min.

Hart’s Bathing Girls

This act surprised me by making a real hit and, together with its novelty, I consider it a valuable act. Exchanged to this position, from that held by the Love Waltz, because of its great success. 18 Min. F.S.

“The Barn Dance.”

Novelty singing girl act with Geo. Spink and 15 people. For a first performance this act went exceptionally smooth this afternoon and was enjoyed by the audience. Act is a trifle rough at present but will work out very nicely and when some lively comedy is injected into the act should prove most acceptable. Spink gets his material over but is handicapped by some pretty ancient gags. Girls look well and work fast. Special in 3. Time 21 min.

Hart’s “Bathing Girls”

This is a very good act, a number of catchy songs being introduced, and the solos and ensemble work were all well received. The act makes a very good appearance from the front, it moves along rapidly, and in fact is a decidedly worthy number. It gained the undivided attention all the way through, and although finishing only fairly strong, I think it was really very well received and liked. Special sets in six scenes, 18 minutes.

Four English Rosebuds

8 min. F.S. This is a very pretty act. The four girls are of a size, dress exactly alike and dance extremely well, particularly the rope-jumping and the acrobatic dancing. The tambourine finish was especially effective and got a very good hand. A pretty act and could hold a good spot on any bill.

Eight Madcaps

10 min. F.S., close in one. This is one of the prettiest dancing act that we have ever played here. The girls all dress alike as dolls, and their ensemble work and individual dancing got the house very strong. The toe dancing of the trio is splendid, as is also the rope dancing. The finishing of the act is immense and won big. An act for a strong spot.

The Eight Palace Girls

Assisted by James Clemons, a clever eccentric dancer, this octette of girls gave us the best performance in their line of work ever presented upon this stage. So called “girl acts” have never been popular here, never made us any money, but it is our best judgement that they will especially draw to the box office their entire salary.

Ned Weyburn’s Minstrel Misses

2 shows, 23 min. full stage – Unless they go stronger than they did this afternoon it is going to be a beautiful contract to carry them along for three weeks. There was very little applause, excepting on the last two dances.

Wayburn’s Minstrel Misses

Strangely, these girls didn’t get much applause, although personally I think it a very strong act., although I am in doubt as to the advisability of playing them three weeks in each of the other houses. I am very glad I have them for only one week here. It certainly is a great novelty and is bound to set people talking and will draw money surely for a week. 23 min. full stage. Two shows.
