Acrobatic dancers. Two nice appearing girls who introduce a routine of acrobatic dancing that got by very nicely. They were fairly well received all the way through and finished moderately strong. 8 minutes, garden in 5.
This acrobatic dancer fared quite well. Held the attention all the way through, secured quite a lot of applause and finished very well. Perfectly satisfactory. 14 minutes, olio in 1.
Four acrobatic dancers who got along fairly well and who answered the purpose for an opener. Palace in 5, 7 minutes.
A young girl who does a very nice little opening act consisting of contortion work and acrobatic dancing. She looks neat and pretty and makes a nice act to open the bill. 8 min. in three.
A man and a woman in an acrobatic, singing, and dancing act, in which the man does the larger part of the work. He is quite a good eccentric dancer and does some high kicking that is quite effective. The woman does not amount to much, but she dresses neatly and is a pretty good foil for her partner. 19 minutes, open full stage and close with about four minutes in one.
This is a French couple (a man and a woman) who do an eccentric singing and dancing act. There is not a great deal of dancing to it, but there is quite a bit of grotesque acrobatic work which is very good indeed. I presume that in the hands of American performers the act would be only passable, but with the grace and magnetism which is the all-pervading feature of the French performers it certainly develops into a first class turn. There is an atmosphere of novelty about it which makes it stand out and is going to prove a very acceptable act everywhere. 12 minutes, full stage.
3 shows, 10 min. full stage – Man and woman in novelty whirlwind, contortion and toe dancing. The woman is very stout, but is not ungraceful, and received a good deal of applause for her work. They opened up with a duet, which was so badly rendered that I cut it out altogether, and had them confine themselves to their dancing, which makes a good act.
14 min. full stage – This is one of the best acts that we play, the finish being a perfect scream. Their singing is fair, but the acrobatic dancing when they knock over about every article on the stage, is simply indescribable. The applause continued after the next act was announced, although the curtain had been raised and lowered four times.
Olio in one. 18 minutes. Good little act. Some unusual acrobatic dancing by Miss Walsh.
Special drop in one. 9 minutes. A really excellent acrobatic dancing act. Closed to a good hand.
