Britt Wood

Young boy, rube comedian, harmonica player and eccentric dancer. Under ordinary circumstances, I wouldn’t dream of putting this young fellow down here, but he seems to be one [sic] the best act from the audience’s standpoint, that we have on the bill and I think he is the logical person to put in this spot. 11 min in one.

Louise Brehany and Mary Ambrose

Miss Brehany is well known as a comic opera star, having played the Keith Circuit numerous times. Mary Ambrose is from the English Music Halls. They appear in a musical skit called “Waiting for Mr.Booker.” Miss Brehany makes a very pleasing appearance and gets by with her songs, although her voice lacks volume, it had once. While Miss Ambrose is a good pianiste [sic] and violinste [sic], the act lacks finish. Presume they could pass muster if they would resort to a straight musical act. At present the offering will not do.

Jesse L. Lasky’s “The Kahl and the Girls”

Mr. Lasky has improved this act to a great extent by the addition of the Courtney Sisters, who instill quite a lot of life into the little musical comedy. However, the act is not up to the standard of Mr. Lasky’s former offering, but may improve to some degree with more work. F.S. Special set.

Joe and Ernie Van

Instrumentalists and comedians. One of the man has a splendid fund of quaint rustic humor. In one.

Goodwin & Elliot

Man and woman. Time 14. In 2 special street. Trick piano playing by the man is clever. Woman an acceptable foil. A few bright jokes. Close to a big hand with a clever impression of Paderowaki.

Fay, Coleys and Fay

In “From Uncle Tom to Vaudeville” singing dancing and talking, their work is very clever with their comedy. Went very good from the start. 15 min. in one.

Jolly, Wild, and Co.

This is a number of old time “gags”, songs, piano playing and met with approval. We do not like Chas. Clear in the act as well as Little Lex Neal who left them. In one.

Moore & St. Clair

Man and woman, singing, talking, good comedy. 15 minutes in one, special drop. Went big.

Dixon & Dixon

The Musical Clowns. Novelty musical act. Good comedy. 12 minutes full stage, went big.

Piano Phiend Minstrels

25 min. F.S. This act is based on Lasky’s former success but is not nearly as big a hit. The voices are good, the piano-playing, likewise and the selection of songs all new. But the costuming and stage setting of the act are not up to the Lasky standard. However, the applause was liberal for individual work and the fat comedian particularly got a good hand for his original coon song, kidding himself on his weight. Made a good finish. It seems a pity for the sake of a few dollars to let an act go back as this one has.
