2 shows, 15 min in 1. ‘In Fifteen Minutes of Fun And Vocalism.’ Got a good reception on their entrance. We were to have had the Empire Quartet for this place, but were disappointed at the last moment on account of illness. The Orpheus Comedy Four filled the place most acceptably. Won considerable applause.
2 shows, 30 mins, open in 4, close in 1. These men got a big round of applause when they came on, and their nonsensical specialty went as well as ever, and started the laughs of the afternoon. This is one of the acts that should only be played once a year.
Three men, one woman, full stage, 16 minutes. Each one received individuals applause on their entrance. Presenting the sketch, ‘A Night in the Fool House,’ with singing and dancing specialties. One continual laugh.
This is a good act of the crazy variety. They do some very good tumbling and some rather good dancing. It is a bing-bang and slap-stick sketch and if not put on too late on the bill ought to make good thoroughly. I have them on at 2:53 and 8:13 in which position they are thoroughly all right. Good though not great, act. 18 min. open full stage, close in one, 2 shows.
Personally, I don’t care anything about these acts and I don’t think our average audience cares for that sort of slapstick comedy which is not very good and their singing only acceptable. They went pretty well this afternoon but I think we had a very easy audience as there is no school this week and there were a great many school children and young people in, with whom they found favor. 15 min. in 1, 2 shows.
In a comedy entitled ‘A Night in a Fool House.’ This act at present is very good one, and is good enough for any bill; consists of singing, dancing, acrobatic work and quite a little talking. Open in full stage and close in one, if necessary.
CDF, 20 min, 2 shows. Can close one. This act was the comedy hit of the bill, young Fitzgibbon having improved very considerably since I saw him last. There is a lot of slap stick and squirt gun comedy in the act but it proves inoffensive and mad our audience laugh heartily. I call it a good act for any of the houses.
