Hoyt and Hyams have a burlesque background and their show reflects this. One plays the straight man and the other is “Dutch.” The “Dutch” comedian holds a beer mug in his hand during the show.
Highly varied act that includes Chinese spear juggling, clown makeup, cymbal spinning, producing bowls from underneath gowns worn by three performers, contortionists, a magician, queue swingers, seven plate spinners, and ethnic comedy done by Long Tack Sam.
The setting is unique in design and features bright coloring.
The men speak good English. “First garbed in native dress”, they later dress in American clothes.
The act was eighteen minutes long. Two “Dutchmen” (one short, the other tall) perform crossfire talk in a lawyer’s office.
Perform some parodies.
Both play Dutchmen.
