De Bell & Waters

In a comedy variety offering entitled “Much Ado About Nothing” — Man and woman; some dancing. High kicking, and talking. No laughs or hand thro act and finished with a very light hand. 12 min. in one.

McLaughlin & Dvans

Three people. Two Men & One Woman. good comedy and bowery dancing with fair singing. Act went very good. 15 min in special drop.

Innis Bros

(16 mins.) A very good next to closing comedy turn. They do a lot of “nut” comedy and eccentric dancing and got a lot of laughs with a routine of tangled talk. Finished with some fast stepping and closed to a good hand.

De Haven & Nice

(17 mins.) Did very well with their eccentric comedy and dancing. It is something away from the ordinary and closing with some clever eccentric stepping they got over in very good shape.

Bob Fern & Co.

A Lease for Life. A fairly good comedy talking & dancing act, went good. Special scenery in 2.17 min.

Chris Richards

(10 mins.) Repeated very well for us. Following Arlington’s act was not a particularly easy position but he did very well with his “nut” style of comedy and dancing. Closed to a good hand.

Hawthorne & Burt

14 min. in one. The comedy Hebrew and the wit. Favorite here. Good line of chatter, some of it new. Eccentric dance went well. Made good as usual. Closed well, but do not think the act could go down next to closing as successfully as in previous years.

McDevitt & Kelly

10 min. in one. Two boys who have never been seen here before, but as dancers on the mat proved themselves to be very much all right. One of them is a good deal of a comedian. Went right after the audience and got them big. The best closing hand of any dancing act we have had for a long time. Inasmuch as neither the Alpines nor Madden & Fitzpatrick open or close in one, this necessitated adding another act, McDevitt & Kelly, for good measure.

John Neff & Carrie Starr

Comedy specialty. 15 minutes in 1. Holds this spot in good shape, closing with eccentric dance that makes a big hit.

Neff & Starr

18 min. This is a very good original act, although it is hardly strong enough to go next in a big show. It made very good, however, following Beban, getting many laughs and closing very well with Neff’s eccentric dance.
