Four Rianos

Comedy acrobatic knock about act. This is an excellent thing to close the show with as it is interesting right through form the start, and full of slap-stick comedy of a very funny nature and some good acrobatic work is introduced also. A young woman of the four being not the least feature of the act. She enters into the spirit of the thing equally with the men. 15 min. full stage, 2 shows.

Rosaire & Doretto

This is a good comedy acrobatic act and keeps the people convulsed with laughter all the time they are on the stage, full stage 9 minutes.

Prevost & Prevost

Comedy acrobatic act which would be all right in its place, but not strong enough for where I am obliged to put it. It is really too bad that I had to swap “Collins & Hart” for this act, especially, in view of the fact, that we are opening this week with opposition. Prevost act is good enough to go on from 7:50 to 8:15 but is not worth the salary. 13 min. full stage, 3 shows.

Smirl & Kessner

In a comedy acrobatic act called the “Bell-boy and the maid”. This is a good act of its kind. The acrobatic end of it good. Dancing fair. Encore in one with the dog is very good, giving the act a strong finish. Time, 17 minutes, with 4 minutes in one.

Caron & Herbert

This is not the original Caron & Herbert act and is far inferior to it. I am uncertain whether they are “ringers” or whether they are entitled to the name. One of the men is physically disabled. It is a very ordinary comedy-acrobatic act. 13 mins. F.S.

Mullen and Corelli

12 min., full stage. It would be difficult to name a better comedy-acrobatic act than this one. The straight man of the team is a wonderful tumbler, while the comedian is really humourous. They can hold down any spot in any bill.

Collins & Hart

15 minutes, full stage, wood. Comedy acrobats. This act is going very well with us. It is an act similar to Blocksum & Burns whom we played two weeks ago. I consider this a better act than Blocksum & Burns.

Welsh-Montrose Trio

Supposed to be called a comedy acrobatic act. Acrobatic stuff pretty good of its kind. Nothing startling or unusual. The comedy part is not much good. Runs about 18 min. with about 4 min. in one.

Welch, Montrose Trio

YYH 2. This is an off-shoot of the original Keno, Welch & Montrose act. It is a fine comedy acrobatic specialty, introducing some novelties which they have probably stolen from some European performer, as they have just returned from there. They have a revolving table on which they do a lot of clever stunts, and they do the foot and head balancing originally done by the Eretto Troupe, and instead of going up on chairs and tables with it as the latter troupe did they go up 12 or 14-foot parallel ladders and then come down again. A mighty good act. 12 mins. full stage.

Flood Brothers

Knockabout comedy acrobats. The two brothers of the original team assisted by a third man. They have a lot of new stuff, and the act has greatly improved. A very good act, strong enough in this house to close the show. I would like to have them again next season. Gar. 4. 10 min
