Finlay and Burke

A mighty clever eccentric sketch by a man and woman. They do a little singing, a little dancing, a little burlesque act, and some imitations that are really funny. They keep the audience interested every minute they are on. 15 minutes, open full stage, close with about three or four minutes in one if needed.

Chinese Johnnie Williams

In an act of burlesque magic made up as a Chinaman. This fellow has a very good act. There is always something about the exposure of magic tricks that seems to appeal to an audience as being funny, and this fellow is quite a natural performer and his evident enoument [sic] of his own work seems to make him especially strong. It is a mighty good three-show-a-day act. 15 minutes, open full stage, and close in about three or four minutes in one.

Conroy and McFarland

15 min. in one – Two Irishmen, in a side-walk conversation. This is one of the old time variety acts, and savors a great deal of burlesque. They got some laughs, but are not very strong. We will shove them up the bill.

Murphy, Nichols and Co.

“The School of Acting”. A very funny burlesque but don’t think it is so laughable the second time around. Full stage.

Burlesque

As fine a looking lot of women as one could wish to see. The singing is elegant-every turn in the burlesque went big. There are some very funny things in it- Harry LeMarr looks fine- the new comedians are not as good as the ones last week-Toby Lyons only sang five verses- taken as a whole your burlesque has the road companies beat a mile.

Tom Barry & Co.

In a novelty burlesque drama, satiring the Nick Carter craze. While the individual members of his company aren’t particularly great, the novelty of the act and its funny lines and situations, carried through in good style. Opens and closes in One, about seven minutes at the opening and three minutes at the close. Entire act 28 Min.

T. Roy Barnes & Bessie Crawford

Open in C.D.F., close in 1. Time 19. Presenting their familiar act, “The Fakir and The Prima Donna.” Barnes continues his tactics of “kidding” the audience. Much that he says borders on indecency. Some had to be cut. Miss Crawford is pleasing ornamentation.

Lynch and Jewell

This is a very good little act in which Lynch opens with some burlesque ballads similar to those done by Louise Dresser but funnier. The illustrations are very grotesque. The he [sic] and Miss Jewell do some very good singing and excellent dancing. 15 min. open in one, close in two.

Manley and Rose

16 min., open full stage, close in 1. Of burlesque tragedy and attempt at comedy, with song by the man that was simply atrocious. One of the poorest acts that we have had for a long time, and not a good substitute for that which is replaced.

Dick Lynch

13 min. in one. This man opens with a burlesque song sheet ballad which gets fair applause. Follows with some old character stories and ends with some good wooden-shoe dancing.
