Ce’Dora

8 min. F.S. Same act as offered here sometime ago by Dr. Clarke only much more interesting in that a woman takes her life in her hands instead of a man. The little boy who works with Ce’Dora is very clever and helps the act. The fact that Ce’Dora has a man in the glove with her while she gyrates on the motor cycle adds to the thrill of the act. Immense applause.

Cross and Josephine

“Dying to Act.” Some talk, a few songs, a little dancing and burlesque melodrama. All right in this position. In one.

George B. Reno & Co.

In 3 special back drop. Time 21. 4 men. Odd freaks of humanity in broad comedy military costumes roughhousing over the stage in mock military drills. A little too long drawn out. Rest went well for the most part.

Herbert Warren & Co.

“The Sultan’s Favorite.” 22 min. F.S. Presenting a farce, entitled, “The Sultan’s Favorite.” This is a farce pure and simple, and while the whole thing is inconsistent, the situations are funny and productive of quite a good deal of laughter. There can be no fault to find with the company, nor with the manner of presentation, with the exception of the fact that Miss George follows too closely along the lines laid down by Miss Bergere to her own detriment in the eyes of those who are familiar with Miss Bergere’s vocal inflection and characteristics. While the act in itself will not carry far outside of the theatre, it makes a good laughing number if not placed too far down on the bill.

Bixely & Pink

16 min. in one. Both men work eccentric. Bright line of talk and some good songs. Plenty of laughs throughout. Closed with burlesque opera stunts, well received.

Billy Dale & Co.

24 min in 1 spec. This is what may be called an attempt at refined burlesque. Most of the material is a little shady. Got quite a few laughs, but not a good reception and closed to a big hand.

Emma Carus

20 min in full stage.   Miss Carus assisted by Walter Leopold gave about the same acy as on her last visit here. Seemed to please and her burlesque dance at the finish put her over to a good hand.

Van Hoven

22 minutes f.s. This is a very clever man with burlesque music, using two boys from the audience. Kept things moving in great shape in this spot.

World & Kingston

26 min. open in one, got to three and close in one. A medley of comedy, burlesque, eccentric dancing and acrobatics. Act well received throughout, making a big finish with the operatic selection. Miss Kingston makes a pretty appearance in her various fetching costumes, and World is an exceptionally good comedian.

The Little Cottage

One of the best acts of its kind we have ever played. It is well put on, both as to scenery and costumes. The people are clever and it has none of the atmosphere of burlesque which many of these tabloids we play contain. 35 min. full stage.
