World & Kingston

This was the greatest fall down of the whole show. I had them down ahead of the Carmen Troupe which position they in no way could hold. They got a little applause in spots but went off with scarcely a thing. There is some merit in the act undoubtedly but they seem to lack the force necessary to reach the audience. The act also somewhat conflicts with that of Gardner & Vincent, for that reason they were no doubt handicapped and they should not be one of our bills later than 8:30 or three in the afternoon. 24 min, open and close in one, 2 shows.

Lynch & Jewell

In burlesque illustrated songs and some straight singing and dancing. This act would be all right if placed a little earlier on the bill but in order to balance the show and get my sets right I am obliged to put them where they are, and which place they are hardly able to hold down. They went quite well however without making much of a hit. 17 min, open with 6 min in one, and full stage with about 2 min in one, for the close, 2 shows.

Delphine & Delmore

Burlesque musical act. This is one of those old fashioned English acts in which the man makes up with large ears and nose, illuminated by electric lights. It is all right for the children but the music in it amounts to nothing at all. At about $60.00 the act would be all right. 1 min, full stage, can close in one, 3 shows.

Dorothy Neville

Drapery in one, 12 min, 2 shows. Lady who opens her little session with a vocal effort, and while not possessing a great singing voice by her strenuous efforts made it tell from the opening. The same strenuous tone marks almost every portion of her work, and shifting into a monologue and later into a German dislect [sic] effort she earned many good laughs and her share of applause. But her burlesque portrayal of Marie Antoinette fall rather flat, and she did not finish as strong as the early applause in her act seemed to warrant. She is, however, all right in this place.

Shawn and Warren

2 shows, 17 min, open in 1. Close full stage. Presenting for about the sixth time here their burlesque absurdity, ‘Quo Vadis Upside Down.’ I created just as much laughter as ever, in fact, it was the laughing hit of the show. I never heard such an uproar in the house as followed the close of the act this afternoon.
