LaFrance and Bruce

17 minutes in one. Special drop. Two man blackface comedy act with one song. Close with a boxing match, that is broken up by a chicken hunt. A good rough comedy act that went first rate.

Coakley, Hanvey and Dunlevy

20 minutes in one. Olio drop. Three men working in blackface, making their entrance through the audience, and giving a miniature minstrel show. Good singing, some gagging, and lively dancing. A very good act that could go further down on a bill.

Ed. Latell

Blackface musical comedian. Always a favorite in this house, and he went this afternoon as strong as ever. 25 mins. In 1.

Falke & Seamon

two men who do a black and white face comedy musical act. The burnt cork member of the duo is very funny and the major portion of his stuff is new. The act is in the front row in its class. 20 minutes full stage.

Billy Davis

Blackface comedian, 13 minutes (1). He suffers nothing by his re-appearance here, the audience welcoming his as a truly old friend, and responding with hearty and incessant laughter to his running talk, including as it does, the very quintessence of black-face fun. A real substantial hit.

Emile Subers & Matt Keefe

Black face comedian and straight character. Subers does ‘nigger’ comedy to Keefe straight. The act serves to permit Subers to do a coon song and it affords Keefe an opportunity to yodle [sic]. It finishes with a burlesque dance. 16 minutes, street in one.

Bennett and Richards

Bennett and Richards took the house entirely with surprise through their “dramatic sketch,” opening with the audience seeing a couple of “bum niggers” in the centre of the parlor after heavy dramatic speeches in the dark that looked as though another domestic triangle was to unfold. Besides the opening, which makes It harder for the two blackface men to follow, the shorter of the pair is an eccentric dancer of original steps with comedy feet that seem jointless from the rapidity of their motions. The dancing alone could hold up the turn. These boys could cut oft Just a bit of the dialog at the start, to get to the opening more quickly, and it would be Just as well If the audience did not see the parlor set before the pistol shot denouement.

Bowman Brothers

Blue Grass Boys – two men. Blackface comedy act with very good dialect comedy, jokes and patter; one opens as blackface and other as straight; the straight makes up black on stage in front of audience. Olio in one. 11 minutes.
