Blackface musical comedians. An old-fashioned act of the type that used to be furnished for the children’s entertainments in the town hall on the 4th of July. Pleased in a mild way. C.D.Fcy in 2. Close in 1, 5 min.
30 minutes f.s. This act has five men working in blackface and a set showing a minstrel ciricle, which makes quite a front. The men have a lot of minstrel gags, all of which are good and the three others are strong on voice. They held this spot on the bill in good shape this afternoon and a little further up they would be a great big hit.
Wooden shoe dancers, introducing their act in Black Face. There is quite a little novelty to this act which was thoroughly appreciated by those present. 10 min. in one.
In Tuneful Originalities. Black face act introducing singing and comedy. Went very good. 18 min. in one.
Black face—monologue. Done 17 minutes in one. Went big. One continual scream.
Blackface comedian. Little singing, little dancing, little piano playing and little Scotch horn-pipe playing. Very clever. (1).
Skatorial Comedians. Two boys working in blackface, doing a little singing, talking and roller skating. Act is full of comedy and makes a most acceptable opening act and will go nicely anywhere. Carry two drops in 1 and 1 ½. Time 12 min.
Blackface comedians, brought in from Pawtucket to replace Willette Whitaker, whose voice failed her. These boys came pretty near making the hit of the show. They have an unusual act, exceedingly funny and they should be booked up quickly. 12 Min. in One.
27 minutes opening in one. “The Georgia Minstrels.” This act has been played here so often that there is hardly a person in the audience who does not know the lines. This afternoon it went fairly well, but there is no doubt that the surprises are all lost. This evening, however, it went big.
2 men, black face. Time 14. They stall a little too much. Their poker and disc throwing pantomime is great. Dancing fine.
