“Kiss Me.”

Black face comedians who repeated their success of other theatres. 15 minutes in one.

Phil Davis

“Pleasing comedian in songs and stories – (blackface) 10 min. in one. Went fair.

Fenton & Fields

(12 mins.) Two boys, in black face, with a variety of comedy bits, singing and dancing. They got plenty of laughs and finished very good with a lively eccentric dance.

Deonzo Bros. & Friday

16 min. F.S. This is a splendid opener. Two men work straight, one blackface. The fun of the blackface comedian is a little shy of humor, but the work of the jumpers keeps up the interest of the audience. Their paraphernalia is showman-like. The skill of one of the members in jumping from candlestick mounted on high tables commands admiration. Closed very well.
(24 mins.) Two black-face boys with a lot of funny chatter that got plenty of laughs. They finished to a big hand in boxing bout that kept the house in a roar.

La Zar & Dale

21 min. in 1. This black-face comedy act went over nicely and closed to a good hand.

Fenton & Fields

11 min. in 1. This comedy black-face team had a hard spot to hold, but held it nicely, and closed to a big hand.

Field Brothers

9 minutes in one. This is a very good value for this spot. The boys work in blackface, old minstrel style, and dance well.

Tommy Dugan

Parody Singer. Dugan is now working in blackface. Personally I liked his messenger boy act better than his present offering. His material is rather old but the audience seemed to take to it in good shape and he got a great many laughs throughout the act and had to come back for another parody at the finish. It is distinctively a small time act for an early spot on the bill. Street in 1. Time 15 min.
