Ed Hill

Mr. Hill is a crayon artist who uses just the face of a girl and upon this he fashions hats of many and various kinds, furs, coats, muffs etc., meanwhile carrying along a line of patter. It is a very unusual act, very clever and a good change from the stereotype opening act usual in vaudeville. 9 minutes in one and a half.

Eddhill

In “Hattie Creations.” Cartoonist. Hattie is a hat which he draws and then makes about a dozen creations from it, talking all though act. Received a number of laughs thru act and a fair hand at finish.

Kajiyama

19 min. A Japanese handwriting expert who writes upside down, backwards, both hands at once and gives an altogether marvelous exhibition of writing and mind concentration. A very interesting exhibition which held the closest attention from the audience, there was liberal applause all through the act and a big hand at the finish.

Mr. Quick

Cartoonist, 12 minutes (1). Good act, in fact quite the best cartoonist we have yet presented; Working with great rapidity he keeps the interest well sustained, and with a delightful vein of comedy permeating the act, the presentation is worthy from every point of view.

Sartella

Man does shadowgraphs, little crayon drawing and a little magic. Makes a very acceptable 3-a-day turn and at the price is decidedly worth playing in the continuous houses. Changing his act around a little bit could close in one. At present 15 min. Full stage, 3 shows.

Marie Lloyd

On at 3.56, 5 min in 1, 18 min in 2; 21 min in all. Much to our delight Miss Lloyd has proven an extremely strong attraction. Our patrons think her the cleverest artiste in her line that has ever been on our stage. She is very easily handled, being extremely anxious to make good. The turn that she is doing for us is as clean as a whistle and I do not think it would be possible for the most prudish person to take exception to any of her lines.

Bert Levy

Drawing on blackened glass the lines reflected in heroic manner on canvas. One of the best acts vaudeville can boast of. Mr. Levy is not only an artist of rare talent but his novel method of displaying it is highly entertaining. He has vein of comedy that is both clever and in very good taste. 14 min, FS.

Winsor Mc Cay

“Silas”  Offering his own Famous Original Drawings.  20 min. in 1.  Strong advance applause, showing that his work on the occasion of his previous visit was well appreciated.  Was watched with close attention, and given frequent applause.  Closed with three curtain calls.  All the papers are highly commending this morning.

Chalk Saunders

Crayon artist. 12 min. in 1, 3 shows. This is one of the best acts of its kind. Saunders has the air of a man who can do things, and he certainly does them without any flourishes or ostentations. His talk is free, to the point, and decidedly helps the act. Each one of his drawings got applause and at the close got quite an ovation which was continued until he came out and bowed for the second time.
