The Bounding Owens

The act was three minutes long on the full stage. The Bounding Owens do a fast routine of ground tumbling, hand-to-hand and shoulder-to-shoulder balancing, and trampoline work.

The Lansings

The act was nine minutes long and performed in front of a plush curtain. A man and a woman are equilibrists. The man does most of the understanding, but the woman also lifts the man with ease. She also does some excellent contortion tricks.

Spissel, Quail and Mack

The act was thirteen minutes long on the full stage. Spissel, Quail and Mack perform an acrobatic routine in front of a hotel kitchen backdrop. They do some comedy tumbling.

Close Brothers

The act was nine minutes long on the full stage. The Close Brothers to a hand-to-hand routine with some pedal juggling. The top mounter acts as the object. The top mounter leaps onto a high pedestal on the side of the stage and lands in a hand-stand. They wear tights.

Morris and Karno

This comedic acrobatic pantomime was nine minutes long on the full stage. A soldier parades in front of a sentry box in a kilt. A “souse” enters and is shot by the sentry who has comedic difficulty getting the corpse into a body bag. The corpse runs off, much to the sentry’s consternation. The man returns in a bear suit and fights with the sentry. The bear grabs the sentry by the leg and pulls him into the box as the lights are lowered. The bear exits the box rubbing his stomach as though he has eaten the sentry. As the lights go up the sentry is seen asleep at his post, the whole thing having been a dream.

Great Tornados

The act was ten minutes long on the full stage. The Great Tornados are composed of five men and one woman. A “ringer” has an excellent disguise. They do a conventional acrobatic routine.

the Florenz Troupe

Good fast ground tumbling makes the foundation of the turn, varied by some striking feats in two- and three- high work.

Kanthe Bros.

This strong act was fifteen minutes long on the full stage. Three strong men do gladiatorial and “physical culture” posing. They also do a regulation routine of acrobatics and wight lifting.
