Miller-Browning Company

Three people appear in a story about a young man turned burglar though force of circumstance. He is caught by a servant girl who turns out to be his sweetheart. A policeman visits who turns out to be his brother. The policeman lets him off to marry his sweetheart. The acting is poor. The police officer is so heavily made up that his appearance is ludicrous. The girl is too hysterical.

Hathaway and Siegel

Miss Siegel’s appearance is too much like club performer. With smarter dressing and less storytelling she would succeed, as her dancing is good and she looks well. Hathaway does the dancing for two and pulls up the act.

Allie Gilbert and Her Six Summer Girls

The girls are rather good looking and appear to be willing to take more trouble to be entertaining but they are not permitted. They wear fluffy dresses and change into Indian costumes

Mr. and Mrs. Chas S. Hammond

The jars are three canisters containing the ashes of the female character’s ex-husbands. They do not resemble jars used by crematories. They cause jealousy in a fourth husband and throws them at her near the end. Neither of the players can act.

Madge Fox

Paul Klotz appears on stage while the girls change. Miss Fox is not working as hard as she has previously. She wears a new costume in each change, of which there are three but none of them go with the outfits the girls are wearing

Pierce and Roslyn

Changes were quick and well made and the costumes correct for the number.

Lavine and Leonard

Good comedy effects through the use of an auto similar to Harry Tate’s “Motoring” except the car is real. If the team gave more attention to the machine more fun would be had.

Marriott Twins

Dissapointing in their big tricks. Handle safeties, tandems and ordinaries, keeping them in motion much after the fasion of gun jugglers. The cycles are trimmed of their pedals and most of the spokes to reduce weight. Also twirl a runabout and a automoble. The runabout is stripped of its fifth wheel and running gear.
