Four Sensational Boises
10 min. A very showy casting act by three men and a woman, one of the man working in comedy makeup. Their work is fast and with plenty of snap to it and in the closing position, it registered a hit.
Brendel & Bert
13 min. A local couple and they were given a warm welcome. The comedy got a liberal amount of laughs and both won favor with their solo numbers, the man adding a bit of eccentric dancing. Finished strong.
“Submarine F 7.”
22 min. With the submarines playing such an important part in the present war, this is a most timely production as well as a distinctly spectacular novelty. The scene presents the interior of a submarine which engages in a battle and then sinks. A rescue is made while the crew is facing death and brings the act to a sensational climax. Seven men are employed in the act and it proved interesting every minute, closing to a big hand.
Moss & Frye
18 min. These colored comedians put over one of the big applause and laughing hits of the show. They have a lot of non-sensical talk that kept the audience laughing and their harmonizing in a couple of songs brought them a big hand.
Hamilton & Barnes
17 min. Young fellow and girl in a comedy talking act. They have some good material but there is little snap to the way it is handled and does not get the results it deserves. The absence of a song or two hurts this act, but it closed to a fair hand.
Joe Browning
15 min. This young fellow got a lot of laughs with a novel monologue. He is made up in ministerial garb and in addition to his talk has a couple of good comedy songs which he does very well. His act went fine.
Mang & Synder
6 min. A very good hand-to-hand balancing act by two men. Show a lot of new tricks, splendidly handled and made a good opener.
Nina Payne
12 min. she had a very hard spot closing this show but with her dances, which are entirely different from anything else we have offered, she scored strongly and finished to a big hand.
Chief Caupolician
8 min. He cut his act down to two songs owing to having appeared earlier in the show speaking for the Liberty Loan. He made a great hit, however, and was given a big hand. His Loan speech was splendid.
Mack & Walker
“A Fair of Tickets.” 25 min. One of the very best comedy sketches in vaudeville and splendidly played. New songs are introduced, being the only change since the act played here last. Went very big.
