Harry Calvo

The idea is old and he gives it no new twists.

Valdare

Almost the same group formations as the Proveanis. One new form of single wheel is shown, a board is mounted with pedals some three inches from the centre. The minor costume changes were made but the white costumes they use soil easily.

Anna Eva Fay

Auditors are invited on stage to examine to cabinet, cords and knots with which she is surrounded. She is tied to the back of a chair and several objects within reach are thrown out. Questions may be written and retained and then later answered. Later in the program she returns and gives answers to the questions.

J. Warren Keane

Uses a screen used by Mme. Herrmann. Keane is one of the cleverest of the card palmers.

Capt. Keller’s American Zouaves

The “American” girls are mostly English and wear sailor suits intead of the zouave dress the billing calls for. Four young men are in the act because he sometimes needs to replace the girls and he does so with his sons until a new girl can be trained. The boys are divided as to hold the girls in line and they do the hardest part of the wall scaling at the finale.

Six Proveanies

New in name only. Part of a larger troupe appearing at the Hippodrome. No men are used in the act except for an assistant. Two of the younger girls are clever riders. One of them suggests Ralph Johnson daredevil features. She is agile and works with sureness. She does a great deal to save the act. The colour difference between stockings and knickerbockers is unpleasant. They should be dyed to match.

Wolfert Trio

Arrived from Germany ten days ago. The act is neatly dressed. The three men work with ease and grace. They use a spring board for many tricks like a head to head stand.
