23 min. “The One Way Out.” Like the majority of sketches Haines has offered in vaudeville, this one is based on the eternal triangle with a surprise finish. The play is a lecture on loyalty in the home and being timely with war atmosphere, held strict interest. Finished to a good hand.
12 min. Two girls who play several instruments in duets and solos. The variety of their offering won them warm favor and they finished to a very good hand.
6 min. The woman’s teeth tricks form the feature of this act. the man assists in some crude dancing which does not help the act very much. It was only a fair opener.
38 min. A great big flash with Kellermann always the central figure but surrounded by a bunch of attractive girls, prettily costumed and in a series of songs and dances. Miss Kellermann has two principal dance numbers, a song, walks the tight wire and finished with her diving. The audience was interested at all times but, of course, waited for the tank display which they applauded freely and the act closed strong.
19 min. His monologue offering this year is one of the best he has ever offered and in addition to keeping the audience amused, he won a lot of applause with some up-to-date humor on the war and finished strong with a tribute to the administration.
29 min. This is the third time for this act and it was just as big a hit as ever, stopping the show for a couple of encores. The comedy and music bit a high mark of favor and the act could have run several minutes longer.
19 min. A very high-class musical offering which was very well received. Miss Ruegger is assisted by Zhay Clark, harpist, and E. Lichenstein, violinist. Their program consists of solos, duets and trios, all classical numbers. The act was an applause hit.
“Somewhere in Jersey.” 20 min. This act was one of the big laughing hits of the show. Halligan’s breezy style of handling the material kept the audience laughing heartily and Miss Skyes furnished an excellent foil. The song number used at the finish also proved very likable and the act finished to a big hand.
Assisted by E.E. Marini. 13 min. With a program of numbers prettily staged and costumed and featured by the exceptional toe dancing of Miss King, this act registered a decided hit. With the exception of one number, the entire series is new and well executed.
17 min. Two young fellows with a piano and a lot of good songs, they work with plenty of speed, got their stuff over in good shape and were very well liked.
