“Married. 31 min. This is one of the best comedy sketches in vaudeville and, as usual, was a big laugh-winner. It is well written, full of comedy lines and situations and splendidly played. Took several curtains.
21 min. They have a lot of good songs and make good use of them. The clever piano-playing by the girl is a big help to the man who also works in some comedy chatter with his songs. They finished strong.
“Liberty Aflame.” 14 min. Following Julia Arthur in this magnificent patriotic spectacle, Miss Hanson scored solidly with her rendition of the great sermon to the American public. The audience responded warmly, the act made a strong impression and finished to a big hand.
19 min. This high-class musical offering has played here several times and always made good. Did as well as usual on this visit.
7 min. Three men in a trampoline and bar act. They do very few tricks, depending mainly on their comedy which got only fair results.
11 min. “A Chinese Circus.” This act has a letter from Mr. Albce saying that they shall never be asked to open or close a show. They agreed to do it this week under special conditions and held the spot in splendid shape. The boys open with some good dancing in evening clothes and change to Chinese costume for their finish on triple bars. Closed strong.
19 min. After an absence of over three years, this popular musical comedy star was given a warm welcome and each of her several songs was liberally rewarded. She has one Irish number and a war ballad which brought excellent results. Miss Ring made an attractive appearance and was assisted at the piano by Willie White.
15 min. This was his first time here in several years and scored a big applause hit with songs and dances. He also introduced a recitation that was well liked and closed to a liberal hand.
“The Submarine Attack.” 14 min. One of the most novel comedy acts in vaudeville played by a man and woman. Both are clever artists and handle their lines and situations splendidly. The sketch kept the audience amused and there is a surprise finish that closed the act amid a roar of laughter and applause. This is an Al comedy sketch.
18 min. This was one of the biggest applause hits of the bill. The blackface comedian has a fine lot of talk and handles it for good laughs. His comedy song finish brought him there extra encores.
