Singing, dancing and talking. Two men, one working straight and the other as a Hebrew comedian. They are both good dancers, and have fair voices. The comedian is no good, as his dialect is bad. Went fair. 13 minutes in one.
“The Dublin Minstrel”. In one. 14 min. Mr. Fogarty opens and closes with knockout songs. In between he keeps the audience screaming with Irish stories, which are good, new, and of a high order of wit. His manner of delivery is especially funny. He is the best monologist we have has for a long time. 3 encores.
In 2. 19 min. This act made a big hit. The men open with a medley of old popular favourites, and sandwich them in some very smooth dancing. Then the songs are dropped and the men get down to straight dancing, with and without the orchestra. They are very clever and hold the audience better than any straight dancing act I have ever seen.
In ‘A Night in a Police Station.’ A very good act, and very well put on. He has a good company, and they all have good voices, but I think he is getting a little too much money for this act. Went very well. 24 minutes, full stage.
America’s Great Young Baritone. This fellow went very big. He has a very good voice, and knows how to use it. He sang three songs all of which went big. I think he is going to be a ‘Find.’ 11 minutes in one. Two shows.
Musical Experts. Three Alexander Bros. & Brady. Three working straight and the other black-face. They do a little of everything, and it is well done. Went big. 18 minutes, full stage and close in one.
Man and woman in a singing and talking act. Man’s talk is fairly good, and the only fault I can find with him is that he uses too much slang in his act. The woman hardly does anything, and I think he carries her around as an ornament. Went fair. 15 minutes in two. Three shows.
A distinct falldown so far as the act is concerned. The audience here did not care for same in fact many of same ridiculed it. Were it not for the dancing of Miss Gehrue there would have neem nothing to save it from positive failure. It is overdrawn, western in scene, called “June” which title role is played by Miss Gehrue. She amounts to little in the line of acting and judging from reception here was not well though it. If she had worked alone and in one, singing a song and introducing unquestionably excellent dancing she would no doubt have scored heaving. Dancing O.K. but aside from that there was nothing doing. 30 minutes. Special act 5.
Man and woman, sing act, Happy’s Million. Special drop representing street in western town. The laughing song of the male member of the team went well nit that is about all that can be said for this set. There is nothing out of the ordinary about either member of the ream and the audience did not care much about them. The story of the act is but a slender thread and of no consequence. 12 minutes in one.
Singing Comedian. This is a very good act. This fellow gave impersonations of Eddie Leonard, Bert Williams and Cliff Gordon all of which were good. He has a good voice and a good personality. Went big. 16 minutes in one.
