McMahon, Diamond & Clemens

This act was a distinct disappointment. I had been led to expect a great deal from it; as a matter of fact, there is nothing to the act but the girl’s scare-crow business, which runs 3 to 4 minutes, although there is a good dance of about 2 min. by the boy. The rest of the act is very tame indeed, opening and closing poorly. 13 min. open and close in one.

Margaret Padula

Songs, whistling at the piano. Rather wholesome looking woman with a pleasant personality, good voice of its kind and a good whistler. The act may be classed good at present and in time should work up to something better than that. Worth while playing. 15 min. in one.

Camilla’s Birds

Well known act that closed the show satisfactorily. 8 min. full, stage.

Morris & Carpell

Man and woman in grotesque comedy act which got plenty of laughter and held the spot most satisfactorily. 18 min. in one.

Glenn & Jenkins

Two black face comedians (colored) in a fairly good act of the sort of negro repartee which have been somewhat over done of late. In the next to closing position, they failed utterly at the afternoon show when everything else on the bill made a hit. In this position they were satisfying, but surely not worth worrying about as to the adjustment of salary, etc., etc., as has the case with them. 16 min. in one.

High Herbert & Co.

In a sketch of Jewish business life. Among the best of the kind we ever played. Had the audience in gales of laughter all through and closed to strong applause. 24 min. full stage.

Leon Varvara

Pianist. Playing classical and popular selections. The audience seemed to appreciate him very much at the both performance My opinion does not count. 13 min. in one.

The Breen Family

Act of juggling, dancing, little acrobatics and some comedy. Makes a good flash for an opener and contains some features of merit. 15 min. full stage, short opening in one.

Lucy Gillette

Well known juggling act which closed the show successfully. 12 minutes, full stage.
