This is a manege act by a very pretty young girl on a white horse. The act is well mounted with plush curtains, etc. and is a splendid investment. Could hold a much more important spot on the bill. 10 Min. F.S.
Shown in the Foyer before the performance and on the stage, after the regular show, permitting such as the stage and see them close to. It seemed to me that the whole audience went up this afternoon. They certainly have made a lot of talk and while it is treated as a joke very largely, I am sure they are going to draw some business. These fleas are shown after the Motion Pictures.
A condensation of “Divorcons” which she calls “A Divorce Dinner.” Miss Scott was our leading lady in last summer’s Stock Company and no doubt for that reason she went stronger than she might have otherwise. However, I think it is a clever sketch that would go anywhere, particularly after it has been played by her company a few more times. There are lots of laughs and the sketch is splendidly dressed and ought to appeal to any audience of thinking people. 23 Min. F.S.
A corking good hand balancing, acrobatic and contortion act. 10 Min. F.S.
Hand and foot shadowgraphist. Undoubtedly the best of them all. He scored as strongly with the audience as he did on previous occasions. 11 Min. F.S.
In a novel singing and dancing skit which met with approval. 18 Min. Open and Close in One.
A very clever juggler with a comedy assistant. There is no doubt that the assistant, at times, detracts from his juggling, but he makes them laugh and I suppose that laughs are valuable. 16 Min. F.S. Can close in One.
There has been a great deal of comment about this act but it is not nearly as bad as it has been made out. I think I have discovered the greatest trouble with the act, a fault which they are going to remedy at once. I will give a later report afterwards. The trouble is, they are doing all their work with the piano and unlike most other piano acts, in order to be able to do their other work the piano has to be considerably up stage, and consequently the musical accompaniment is lost. They are going to do their work with the orchestra here, possibly tonight or as soon afterwards as they can and I have doubt that with the orchestration to lift it up there will be a great difference in the act. 16 Min. F.S.
Had orchestra at night show, making great improvement in act. Gained considerable applause. I understand this is a different act than they have done, except the last three days in Union Hill.
Living bronze statues; the first time here. The act was evidently very well liked. 10 Min. F.S.
Violinist and singer, about the best we have ever had and who made the applause hit of the show. 12 Min. in One.
