Kluting’s Animals

A very beautiful act, using small white dogs, rabbits, white cats and pigeons. Some of the work is rather unusual and the novelty of the combination makes it doubly effective. An act that could easily be featured almost anywhere. 13 Min. F.S.

“California”

This is a pretentious musical drama, but pretentious only scenic equipment and number of people employed. I don’t care much for the actors excepting in the case of comedy Englishman. The music is not attractive excepting in the case of one song. To make it worse, everybody seemed to be singing out of tune. As a whole the act is a disappointment. 30 Min. F.S.

McConnell & Simpson

In their new sketch, “The Right Girl.” A big laughing hit. 26 Min. F.S.

The Grazers

Novelty, musical and dancing act, which is well-known along the line. All right for a No. 2 but hardly strong enough for the No. 3 spot. 10 Min. Open F.S. Close in One.

Doc. O’Neil

I was very much surprised at this act. He didn’t reach the audience at all in No. 3 spot, moved up to this position for the night. I am inclined to agree with the audience. Can see very little merit in his work; consider him rather a poor imitation of James Francis Dooley. 13 Min. in One.

Leahy Brothers

Ring act of very small calibre. Known only locally and not fit for the rest of the circuit. 8 Min. F.S.

Vittorio & Georgetty

“The Upsidedown Boys.” Hardly as strong an act as we should have in this position but they managed to get by all right. 11 Min. F.S.

Willie Weston

Comic singer, assisted by a pianist. Some new songs and some old ones. Did very well indeed. 16 Min. in One.

Tom Wise & Co.

In a comedy sketch entitled “A Chip of the Old Block.” A very good little play, very well done. The principal support in the company holds up his end with Mr. Wise and comes pretty near being the star of the piece. As Mr. Wise was a former member of our stock company, naturally we expect him to draw us considerable business. 23 Min. F.S

Mme. Besson & Co.

This act is pretty slow and delves into a dialogue by the man and woman with hardly any action. The audience grew rather restless until the climax with its surprise, got them a good hand. The act is well played but it is too talky. At the same time I can’t just see where the price comes in by considerable money. 23 Min. F.S.
