Ye Colonial Septette

While the producers have all that is required in the way of scenery, costumes, etc., and the idea of it is very beautiful, they have failed to put in as capable performers as the act formerly contained. There is only person of real merit in the act; that is the cornetist. The others are inadequate, with the consequence that the act by no means made the success that it did on its last appearance here.

Carlin & Penn

In something new in the way of Dutch comedy. One of the most satisfactory acts in the bill. Went very well indeed. 15 Min. in One.

Wilfred Clarke & Co.

In a sketch new to this theatre called “The Dear Departed” a lively act of the kind offered by Mr. Clarke. Got plenty of laughs and is satisfactory in a general way, though hardly a headliner. 15 Min. F.S.

Ronair & Ward

Man and woman in a light comedy talking and singing act. Some very bright stuff, very well rendered and an agreeable surprise. One of the best acts in the bill. 14 Min. F.S.

Jacobs’ Dogs

Mr. Jacobs offers nothing new in acts in this kind, excepting the talking dog, which is a little disappointing after advertising. The act created no enthusiasm whatever altho in a most favorable spot on the bill. 10 Min. F.S.

Samsone & Delilah

Well-known regulation balancing act that sufficed to open the show. 8 Min. F.S.

Lawrence Johnston

Ventriloquist. The first part of his act went fairly well, but he made his hit with his long distant sounds, closing to strong applause. 17 Min. in One.

The Uessems

Acrobatic act and hand-balancing. Went as big as they evidently did in other cities, judging from reports.
