Max Ritter

Signs Coon songs, tells stories, and dances. There is a little confliction in this act and the Rooney Sisters and I put them both together in order to get them out of the way early in the bill as Ritter is just a shade better than the Rooney sisters. 8 min in one, 3 shows.

Herbery Brocks

Card conjurer. This man had exceedingly hard place on the bill following the Sylvas who do no talking, and his act opens with no talking and is quiet throughout. He does some clever work with the cards and finished with a truck trick which is indeed puzzling. He has a pleasing appearance and while he aroused no great amount of applause he seemed to interest and please our audience. 20 min, open in one, close full stage, 3 shows.

Bedini and Arthur

Comedy juggling act. Bedini is a very graceful and skillful juggler and his partner Arthur is one of the finest little black-face comedians in Vaudeville. Their act went with a scream from start to finish and was one of the hits of the bill. 12 min, full stage and about 5 min in one, making 17 in all. 2 shows.

Will M. Cressy and Blanche Dayne

In Mr. Cressy’s latest Idyll of New England Life, ‘New Depot.’ Mr. Cressy had decided to withdraw this act and give us a ‘Village Lawyer’ but Mr. Lovenberg preferred to have him play the new act. That his confidence in Mr. Cressy’s ability was not misplaced was shown by the big hit that this artist made. The new sketch is full of bright lines and aroused a great deal of laughter and the artistic bit of pathos found in Mr. Cressy’s acts was skillfully introduced. In my mind this act is not as good as the ‘Village Lawyers’ but it certainly is an exceptionally good act and made a big hit. Some very pretty special scenery was used. 24 min, full stage, 2 shows.

A.D. Robbins

One of the finest trick bicyclists we have ever had. He works with great rapidity and his feats are all of an extremely difficult nature. Pleased the audience mightily and got quite a deal of applause. 10, full stage, 2 shows.

Armstrong and Wright

Comedy singing and dancing act. All their jokes are stolen and the man is not a comedian by any means. He can dance a little and the woman gave an endurance dance at the finish of the act which aroused a great deal of applause. 12 min in one. 3 shows.

Les Melasse Troupe

This act has deteriorated greatly since they played here before. The two people of the old act that I considered the best are now not present and are replaced by two others that are not very good in my mind. This set in no way compares with Wallno & Marinetti and in not worth what we are paying them by fully $50. 8 min, full stage, three shows.

Morrisey & Rich

In their old act, singing, talking, and dancing, which would have been thoroughly all right if it had gone on a little earlier, as it was it went first rate, but I think principally because the audience had seen nothing up to that time and it was worth their attention. 15 min, in one, 3 shows.

James J. Morton

He comes to us this time with an entire new list of stuff and made good from his entrance to his close. Sure as good a monologuist as any one we have ever had this season. 17 min. in one, 2 shows.

Henri Humberti

Juggler and [illegible, “balancer?”] As this set was described very recently by Mr. Hodgdon, I need not go into detail further than to say he made good thoroughly and to my mind, his act was as good as any of its kind that we have ever played, especially because of the novelty manner of presentation. 14 min. full stage, 2 shows
