Carolyn Young

– Whistler. This girl whistles well, but dresses in very bad taste, and has a tough walk that the detracts from her act which may be classed as fair. 7 minutes in one, 3 shows.

Hollis and Howard

Illustrated songs. Man is fair singer, but the colors and pictures would give one the nightmare. Somehow another acts always goes well with the audience, so it must be classed as a good act. 15 min. in one, 3 shows.

Marshall and Lane

Two men in a comedy sketch. Introducing a number of invitations of animals and instruments. The comedy is very bad, but the idea, is novel, and for that reason maybe could be called a fairly good act. 14 min. closing in one, 3 shows.

Klein and Clifton

2 shows, 15 min. open in two, close in one. Klein and Glifton, singers, dancers, and comedy. This act is very coarse to the more refined people in the audience, although it gets considerable applause from upstairs. The mans eccentric dancing was good, but the women’s was very bad.

Wormwood’s Dogs and Monkeys

20 min. full stage, 2 shows. This is also in my mind they best act of its kind as the animals seem to have no fear of the trainer. There is so much comedy in the act that it will be the drawing card for the week.

The Three Melanis

17 min. in one, 2 shows. This is the big hit of the show. While the violinist of the trio is not as good as that of the Three Dumands, the whole act is better and contains more variety. It is the best musical act I know of, of its kind.

Albert L. Guille

7 min. in one, 2 shows. Operatic tenor. “No doubt about the fact that he has gone by, his voice begins to show age, and his act is so short it is of little value.”

Tom Moore

…a white man who sings coon songs nearer like a negro than any one we have had.

Althea Twin Sisters

2 shows in one, 7 min. Acrobats and Dancers. Their act is very bad up to the time they begin their Acrobatic work, which is pretty fair for women. Might be called a fair act if it were not so short.

Empire Comedy Four

This is one of those awfully lively slap-stick quartettes which as a rule don’t satisfy these audiences, but these fellows sing pretty well and sing a better grade of music than most of the others and for that reason seemed to hold the audience in good shape. With the show seventeen minutes late the audience wanted still more after having seen twenty minutes, in one, 2 shows.
