Asra

Novelty juggler. His opening work amounts to very little. I was afraid he was going to be a failure but when he got on to his ‘billiard table’ to work introduced there being of a novel nature and quite well done, was accepted in an appreciated manner. Although not ‘great’ it is a good act. 13 min. full stage, 2 shows.

Bertini & Brockway

Two rather good looking young girls who make a mean appearance and in a small way do some quite clever work in the way of dancing and contortion with a little singing added. Thoroughly all right from a three a day standpoint. 11 min. in 1, 3 shows.

Fitzgibbon, Morse & Drislane

In the toughest sort of spot this act made a big hit due entirely to Bert Fitzgibbon’s foolishness. The audience were very loathe to let them go. 15 min. in 3, doing a short close in 1, which was not very good, 2 shows.

J.K. Murray & Clara Lane

These people went only fairly in their straight singing work but finished very strong with their operatic duo. I have an idea they will draw money though, judging from the advance applause received. 20 min open full stage, about 3 min. in 1, 2 shows.

Leila Taylor

Singing comedienne. This girl, with proper training, and a little more experience should do first rate in the three a day class. She is all right to play in the very early section at the salary she is booked. 11 min in one, 3 shows.

Thomas Meegan and Company

Kind of a little dramatic comedy sketch which pleased thoroughly, in the early part of the bill. Good act, because we get so few of these in the 3-a-day schedule. Got a good many laughs, finished quite well. 22 min. full stage, 3 shows.

The Gems

An English act of singing and dancing which is full of life and snap and very prettily presented. It is rather indescribable and I am sure it pleases the better class of patrons, although I am inclined to believe it is rather overpaid. 12 min. full stage, 2 shows.

The Cartmells

These people open with two men, a Jaw and a Negro, with some funny talk in one, followed by the original team in a song and dance, also in one, occupying about eight minutes, then they open to full stage and have a little sketch, singing and dancing, concluding with short dance in one, by two, then by the four. The comedy, while not great, is all right and got considerable laughter. The dancing is especially good and on the whole, I would say that we are getting the act for about $25. Less than it is worth and I am thoroughly satisfied. 20 min. open in one and close in one, 2 shows.

4 Singing Colleens

These girls sing very nicely and their voices blend well, although the act is not as much of a hit as I expected it would be. One drawback is that the girls are very homely. It is a good act however, but by no means worth any more than they are getting. 11 min. in 2, 2 shows.

Berney Fagan & Henrietta Byron

In a very neat singing and dancing sketch with some pretty complete changes of costumes and rapidly done; the whole act neatly put on. Very attractive act to play once in a couple of years. 27 min. full stage, 2 shows.
