Hines & Remington

In “Miss Patter of Paterson”. Same old sketch, but so skillfully handled, certainly makes a hit. Her imitations of David Harum, Jimmy Russell, etc. are especially good and the general stuff is good and funny and is given in rapid fire style. They work all in one, which is somewhat unusual for a sketch of this sort. Time 23 minutes.

Bellman & Moore

In “Hester’s Promise”. Very clever sketch with bright dialogue and is cleverly handled. Miss Moore puts in a fine appearance, dress well and her dancing is a feature of much interest and merits the generous applause accorded her. A first-class character sketch; full stage time 22 minutes.

Hayes & Healy

Circus Rider & Ringmaster. Same old act without the slightest variation throughout, either in action or comedy. Both are competent artists in their line and make a hit as usual, but a little new matter worker in here and there would greatly improve the act. Goes well however. Full stage, time 18 minutes.

Murphy & Nichols

In “the Bifurcated Girl”. The title is sufficient to create an interest in the act, which is extremely good and full of laughable situations. The dialogue is a hit and the climax of the “double” part mysteriously funny. Good act all the way through; full stage; time 19 minutes.

Orth & Fern

In a musical sketch “Sign that book.” Good opening act; both accomplished pianists of their kind and fair singers. Songs went well, but comedy very poor. This part of the act could stand a wholesale cutting with advantage. Trick playing and imitations on piano took well. Full stage; close in one; time 17 minutes.

Sandor Trio

European Gymnasts. A very fine act. They perform wonderful feats of strength in a very easy manner. Held the audience to the very close. Full stage. Time 12 minutes.

Eva Mudge

“The Military Maid”. This young lady is just as pleasing as ever. She has one new song and recital in her changes, called “The Highwayman” which is exceedingly good. She has no equal in this country in quick character changes. Always goes strong. Full stage, close in one. Time 15 minutes.

Dillon Brothers

This team are favorites here; they have many new songs and sayings. A good act and went well. All in one. Time 19 minutes.

McMahon’s Watermelon Girls

This is one of the best acts of the kind that comes to this house. It seems to improve every day. It is a song story of life in the south, set to sweet music and capitally sing and danced. Scenic effects good. Made a decided hit. Full stage, close in one. Time 15 minutes.

Rosario Guerrero

“The Rose and the Dagger”. This is her second appearance here this season. We gave an extended report on Feb. 8th. The act has improved since then and went very strong. For a dramatic pantomime, it is first class. Miss Guerrero is always charming. Full stage. Time 15 minutes.
