Lewis & Green

“Educating a Cook.” A clever two man act, one working from audience and interrupting his partner, the two finishing on the stage. Act a big comedy hit here. Open in 1, 5 min. then to 2, own drop, close in 1, 5 min. Time 17 min.

5 Columbians

“The Ballet of the Roses.” This is Caro Miller, wife and three daughters in a novel dancing act, beautifully costumed and well staged and will prove a likeable feature on any bill. The little girl in the act was a big hit with her impersonations. Special set in 3. Time 23 min. can do long close in.

Gertrude Vandyck

The Girl with the Golden Voice. A rather novel singing act in 1 that pleased in #2 spot at matinee and went well at night. She makes a good appearance and does 3 songs making changes on stage. Will get over nicely on any bill in an early spot. Olio drop in 1. Time 10 min.

McBride & Godrich

Comedy Singers and Dancers. This is McBride of Coakly & McBride and his wife. Really an old-fashioned song and dance team that harks back to variety days. They tell all the old gags that have ever been spring but somehow managed to overlook “Why does the chicken cross the street” and “The Climate, my boy.” Act might do for the family department but hardly strong enough for the regular opry houses. Moved up from #3 after matinee. Street in 1. Time 18 min.

Jordan Trio

Novelty Wire Act. Two girls and a boy from the Flying Jordans in a pretty wire act that opens the show in splendid shape. The girls are pretty and work fast and introduce a lot of difficult stunts. Garden in 3. Time 10 min.

Camille Trio

Comedy acrobats. A rough comedy bar act that was a scream from start to finish, garden in 3. Time 6 min.

Anderson and Goines

Colored comedians. These two boys certainly cleaned up in great shape and were the hit of the bill. Their new finish took them off the long continued applause and Goines was forced to make a speech even after the cards for the following act had been displayed. Olio in 1. Time 18 min.

Yuill and Boyd

“Wanted a Minister.” A comedy sketch by Victor H. Smalley. Not as good comedy as Baseballitis and really belongs earlier in the bill. Idea rather improbable but there are some good comedy situations that bring laughs. Finish quiet but pleasing and act took three curtain calls. A couple of specialties are introduced during the action of the sketch. Miss Yuill is charming in her character but Mr. Boyd is a better acrobatic dancer than he is an actor and there is lots of room for improvement in the acting line. C.D.Fcy in 3. Time 20 min.

Joseph Hart’s Bathing Girls

This is one of the best girl acts we have played this season and created more enthusiasm than any ensemble act we have presented. Certainly the act possesses novelty and is by far Hart’s best effort. Full stage, special set. Time 19 min.

Welch, Francis & Co.

“The Flip Mr. Flop.” Comedy sketch, 5 people. Not much of a plot but keeps the audience laughing. This is the second visit here and the act went very strong at both shows. The work on the bass drum by Kittie Francis is a big scream. C.D.Fcy in 3. Close in 1, 5 min. Entire running time 20 min.
