“The New Pupil.” These people have a very amusing comedy sketch, the member doing the hair-lipped country girl won many laughs from today’s audience. A good act for the smaller houses and would get by very nicely in an early spot. Fancy in 3. Time 18 min.
“The Night of the Wedding.” This act is well known through having been played last season by Mr. McCormack and Adeline Dunlop. Proved the strongest dramatic act we have had this season and took several curtain calls at the finish. The work of the little girl is to be commended and I really look for this act to draw money. Kitchen in 3. Time 19 min.
“Street Urchins at the Amateur Contest.” A well known act that went over in this spot today in excellent shape and closed to strong applause. Street in 1. Time 12 min.
Eccentric singers. Three men in a very pleasing vocal act with special drop in 2. Make their appearance attired as cowboys and sings a couple of good songs. Their voices blend nicely and a little comedy is introduced. Make three changes of costume, closing full stage after third number through entire act could be done in 1. The act should be worked as a straight singing act with all attempts at comedy eliminated. Time 15 min.
The spinning cyclist. An excellent opening act for any house in the country. Wilson is a clean-cut looking young chap who does some most difficult stunts on the wheel, working straight all the way through, and going off to good applause. Full stage, 9 min.
A rattling good closing act. Schepp is a nice looking young chap and his dogs, ponies and monks look well and work fast. Act will compare favorably with any animal act we have played here and is good value for any manager. Garden in 4. Time 24 min.
“Mr. Nobody.” Two men, one working blackface. The applause hit of the bill today. They are both good singers and their comedy is refreshing and I consider the act fully as good as when McGahan was a member. Street in 1. Time 14 min.
A very pretty woman in a series of classical dances that are beautifully done. In the larger cities the act should prove a surefire success. She uses three assistants with her on the stage and employs several lamp operators. Four dances, with changes of scenery and costume presented. While the applause was not terrific the act went over well and is creating considerable comment. Believe the act will draw us money during the week. Own scenery in 3. Time 13.
“Pixley’s Prodigal Parents.” As good a farce comedy as there is in vaudeville and a big laughing hit with today’s audience. Special set in 3. Time 27 min.
Singing comedienne. Single women have a rather hard time of it here but this one got her audience right at the start this afternoon and held them with her four songs. She makes an attractive appearance and sings well and will do nicely in an early spot on any bill. Olio drop in 1. Time 12 min.
